Nadine acts as policewoman

JAKARTA: For one day, Nadine Chandrawinata shed her celebrity status to take on the role of a traffic policewoman.

Showing up in a police uniform with the rank of first inspector, Nadine mingled with children at the Kidzania recreational park in Central Jakarta on Tuesday.

The 24-year-old Nadine enjoyed her role, teaching the children basic traffic rules and regulations.

"When I was a kid, I dreamed of becoming a policewoman. I saw being in the police as being strong and arresting the bad guys," she told Antara news agency.

Although she was only "on the job" for one day, Nadine said she was proud to play the part of a police officer. -- JP
