House delays selection of fuel price inquiry team

The House of Representatives has delayed the selection of the fuel price inquiry team members at the request of the Democrat Party and the Golkar Party.The team selection was also postponed pending the return of House Speaker Agung Laksono from his pilgrimage in Mecca, Saudi Arabia.
Legislator of the Indonesian Democratic Party for Struggle Tjahjo Kumolo said the current delay should be the last one, otherwise people would not believe that the House is serious about its
inquiry into the government's fuel price hikes.
"This time we can understand the delay. But this delay should be the last one," he said, as quoted by detik.com. (***)
