Charge against Anwar Ibrahim

I have been going to Malaysia for at least the past 18 years. It is an amazing country among the 44 countries that I have visited. I saw and witnessed Malaysia's physical and economical development since the early 90s when PM Mahathir Mohammad was still in power. How he managed to pass the crisis without using the hands of the IMF, and even implemented the fixed exchange rate for the US dollar; a Malay man, with that quality and capability.

Incredible may not be a strong enough word to describe all his achievements. I adore him, and sometimes I dream that this country, Indonesia, could have such a capable leader.

But he was just a human, with passion and weakness. He was so disappointed when Pak Anwar no longer stood by his side. He couldn't accept that. And then we all knew what happened afterward. Sodomy charges, torture and so on.

And then you took over. In my entire life, I have never seen a leader of an Islamic country come out as an imam at the Friday prayer. You are an honorable leader of the 21st century.

Your people around you, every one of them should have followed in your footsteps, and if all of them did, you definitely would never have lost so much as a vote in the last election.

The sodomy charges against Pak Anwar, we all knew that it was a total political conspiracy. How in the name of heaven could such a great leader of an Islamic country let such an embarrassment occur?

Has political and power blinded you? Set him free, let him go on with his political maneuvers, and let the people of Malaysia decide later who is going to be the best for them to lead the country. Get rid of the real immoral bacteria around you.
