Three killed, one missing in Balikpapan flood

Three people were killed, one was still missing and thousands of homes were inundated as flood hit Balikpapan, East Kalimantan following heavy rain on Saturday.
Rais, a Batakan resident, said three Batakan dwellers, who went missing because of the flood, had been found dead. One more people remained missing.
At least five subdistricts in Balikpapan - Batu Ampar, Damai, Gunung Samarinda, Sumber Rejo and Gunung Sari - were badly affected by the flood.
"I must look for new a route to return home as my normal route is flooded," Siti, who lives in Sepinggan, said. (Nurni/***)
