Since there is no direct flight between Indonesia and Turkey, Indonesians eager to visit Turkey should first go to Singapore. From Singapore, you can take Turkish Airlines or Singapore Airlines, which both offer non-stop flights to Istanbul.

Turkish Airlines flies from Singapore to Istanbul four times a week: Tuesday, Saturday, Monday and Tuesday. It also flies from Istanbul to Singapore four times a week: Sunday, Monday, Thursday and Friday.

To reach Trabzon from Istanbul, a distance of around 1,110 km, you can go by road, air or sea. By road takes around 18 hours. Bus services are available from Trabzon to major cities in Turkey, such as Ankara and Istanbul. There are three main roads to Trabzon from Rize and Artvin in the East, from Ezurum and Gumushane in the south and from Giresun, Ordu ad Samsun in the west.

If you want to reach Trabzon much earlier in the day, then it is best to go by air, which takes around two and a half hours from Istanbul. Trabzon International Airport is the biggest in the region where all kinds of planes can land and take off. There are regular daily flights from Ankara, Istanbul, Antalya, Izmir, Adana and Bursa to Trabzon. During summer, there are also flights to some European countries and Russia.

In summer from May to September, there is a ferry to Trabzon run by Turkish Maritime Lines. The ferry sets sail from Istanbul and calls at Sinop, Samsun, Trabzon and Rise ports. There are also yachts that set sail on the eastern Black Sea for a touristy voyage.
