Letter: Carrefour responds

Referring to a demonstration carried out by the Alliance of Jakarta People (Amarta) on July 7 at PT Carrefour Indonesia's central office on Jl. Lebak Bulus Raya, South Jakarta, which called on the Carrefour management to immediately relocate a Carrefour outlet from Mega Mall Pluit, these are our responses.

We appreciate Amarta's aspiration as long as it is conveyed on the basis of existing Indonesia laws.

PT Carrefour Indonesia started its operation in Indonesia in 1998 and always abides by all existing regulations in Indonesia.

Our outlet in Mega Mall Pluit, which was opened on March 15, 1999, is not an exception. The outlet is provided with all required documents.
