Located on the fourth floor above SHY, the Rooftop brings about a scene that is different and yet surprisingly relaxed, as it is a picture of avant-garde serenity.
With white washed wooden flooring and candle-lit lanterns standing prominently, this chill pad is all about urban comfort, but with a modern and chic exterior.
Open only on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays, the sister establishment of haute cuisine restaurant SHY, feels like the fuss-free, down-to-earth sibling who doesn't care for the pomp and pageantry. Instead, it opts for chill lounge music and caters to a casual crowd drawing attention as the perfect place to wind up the hectic work week.
Nobody here expects to get wild and rowdy, like they do in most bars. You will see casual folks lounging around while enjoying drinks and a good conversation with friends. This feeling is further perpetuated by the down-tempo, soul and funk music that is emitted through the speakers.
The Rooftop supports the local arts scene, such as the acoustic band Drew that plays every Saturday starting at 10:30 p.m.. On Friday, Endah 'n Rhesa, a bluesy acoustic band, will blast their sound starting also at 10:30 p.m.. DJs playing down-tempo and eclectic sets are also available after the band's performance.
Guests can savor their special Tapas platters served on the roof. Signature drinks like the lychee martini and the cosmopolitan accentuate the perfect blend of their ingredients, without an overwhelming feeling.
The Rooftop opens 6 p.m. till midnight on Sundays and opens until 2 a.m. on Fridays and Saturdays.
