Your comments on the report of the Indonesia-Timor Leste joint Commission for Truth and Friendship (CTF) and the prospect of justice for those involved in gross human rights violations
It is a big political step forward, but at the same time it feels ethically unsatisfactory that individuals who are in fact war criminals are able to escape earthly judgment because of this mutual political agreement.

Violations of human rights are not uncommon when there are groups for and against a decision. But such violations are not like accidents which happen unnoticed.
Regarding Timor Leste, equal blame has to be placed on the international community for not anticipating the occurrence of violations.

All those who are responsible, including the decision makers, should be put on trial. Justice should be upheld.

What is justice of the past? The future of the Timorese and Indonesian people as neighbors is more important now. And again, without any foreign interference.

SBY, the President, should know that Indonesia is a big country. So, don't let Timor Leste control us with their gross human rights violation issue.

Justice is justice. Killer is killer. Whoever he is must be held responsible for the human rights violations. Never let the killers be free in this country and become very important people. We do not want to be led by a killer!

The human rights violations in Timor Leste occurred a long time ago. It's good to focus on upholding justice in the future. We are friends now.

I personally think there is no justice to be upheld because the operation was according to the law and procedures at that time.
