Letter: House of Representatives clarifies

In connection with an article published in The Jakarta Post, July 17, on the House of Representatives's Commission I hearing with the State Intelligence Agency (BIN), which was reportedly delayed for almost two and a half hours, we deem it necessary to make a clarification.
The House Commission I hearing with BIN was originally scheduled to be held at 9:00 a.m. At the request of the BIN chief, the hearing was postponed until 11:00 a.m.
But at the same time, the Commission held a sudden press conference to convey its stance on the report issued by the Indonesia-Timor Leste Commission for Truth and Friendship, which lasted for 30 minutes.
Therefore, the House's Commission I hearing with BIN was delayed for only 30 minutes, not two and a half hours as reported by this daily.
