The other gamblers all escaped, including the two victims who jumped into the river when the police arrived.
“During the raid, two people jumped into the river, who were later found dead. We arrested the chief gambler,” Sujarwanto told Antara.
He said the police confiscated a handphone and money worth Rp 170,000 (US$19) from the scene, and would charge the arrested gambler with article 303 of the Criminal Code on gambling. (rid)
