Minister opens marine festival

MANADO: State Minister for Youth and Sports Affairs Adhyaksa Dault opened the third Maritime Youth and Sports International Festival in Manado, North Sulawesi on Tuesday.

Adhyaksa said that the festival was the right way to encourage younger people to love sports and maritime interests.

"Let keep the sea clean and make it an important part of our lives," he said.

"We have to develop more maritime-related business such as fishery and tourism.

Also attending the opening ceremony were Maritime Affairs and Fishery Minister Freddy Numbery, North Sulawesi Governor Sinyo Harry Sarundajang and Manado Mayor Jimmy Rimba Rogi. -- JP
