Miss Universe visits Borobudur temple

Miss Universe Dayana Mendoza, 22, during her current tour of Indonesia paid a visit to the Buddhist temple of Borobudur in Magelang regency, Central Java, on Monday.
Accompanied by Miss Indonesia 2008, Zivanna Lestisha Siregar, Mendoza toured the temple and walked around the top stupa.
The director for operations and development of Borobudur and Prambanan temples, Guntur Puronomo Adi, welcomed Mendoza and presented her with a book on Borobudur and traditional batik cloth with a Borobudur motive.
Antara news agency reported that Mendozo left the temple after taking pictures in the temple's compound.

Yeah...Now you see at hand that some Indonesian people seem do not care of their world heritage. Such fact represent the men occupying significant positions above there. Too much problems that are being faced this "big" country. Too many of them who don't care of the country's citizen, hence the citizen don't care of their world heritages. Sowwy ;)

Last time I visited this historic temple I spent the afternoon picking up other people's garbage as well as shooting video of people sitting inside one the Stupas with their arm around the Buddha. Right beside them was a no climbing sign.
Interesting that this World Heritage Site makes headlines and is used to advertise the country when it's country's people care so little about it and what it represents.
