City police to curb nightclubs during Ramadhan

Jakarta Police chief Insp. Gen. Adang Firman plans to hold a meeting with the city's nightclub owners over the plan to limit their business during Ramadhan, starting next week.
"We will announce the provisions to be implemented during the fasting month next week," he said Thursday as quoted by
Tempointeraktif.com.
The city administration has also set up regulations to set curfews for massage parlors, spas and saunas during Ramadhan.
Adang said that there were no new regulations for the fasting month. "We still use the old regulations. We will take legal action against violators," Adang said.
The police chief also asked the citizens to report police officers who "backed immoral businesses". (dre)
