Kalla in Beijing to watch soccer final, attend Olympic closing

Indonesian Vice President Jusuf Kalla and his entourage have arrived in Beijing to attend the closing ceremony of the Olympic Games on Sunday, Antara reported Saturday.
During his stay in Beijing, the vice president is also scheduled to watch the final soccer match of the Beijing Olympics on Saturday at the Bird's Nest Stadium.
Kalla will also meet with Chinese Vice President Jinping and attend a luncheon hosted by Chinese President Hu Jintao.
The vice president is also expected to hold a meeting with Chinese businesspeople. Kalla and the group are visiting China for three days and will return home Monday.
The vice president's entourage includes Trade Minister Marie E Pangestu and the deputy to the vice presidential secretary for people's welfare, Azumardi Azra.
Mari Pangestu said she would meet Chinese Trade Minister Chen Deming to discuss various regional and multilateral issues, including the Doha trade round which met a deadlock recently.
The meeting would also discuss efforts to boost the good bilateral trade relations between Indonesia and China.
Bilateral trade relations were in fact growing rapidly as an increasing number of Chinese businessmen were investing in Indonesia, she told Antara. (rid)
