Around 100 people claiming as members of the Islam Defender Front (FPI) assembled in front of the Central Jakarta District Court in Central Jakarta to follow the trial of FPI leader Rizieq Shihab.

Antara news agency reported that they all demanded entry to the court during the trial hearing of Rizieq, who is charged for FPI's violent ambush on activists from the National Alliance for
the Freedom of Faith and Religion (AKKBB) in the National Monument compound in June.

The people chanted the name of Allah and supports to Rizieq, who is scheduled to read his objections against the prosecutor's indictment.

Hundreds of police guarding the rally finally let them in after examining them. The rally also disrupted the traffic near the court's location on Jalan Gajah Mada. (dre)
