Hundreds of workers from cigarette company PT Karya Bina Sentosa in Malang, East Java stage a protest Wednesday in front of the Malang regency legislative council building. Workers asked councilors to provide assistance in the protracted labor dispute with the company’s management, which altered employees’ status to that of contract workers, threatening to dismiss those who refused to sign off on the status change.
