Burned body found under Slipi flyover

JAKARTA: Tanah Abang Police detained two buskers, IS and R, for their alleged involvement in the murder of an unknown man found Tuesday under the Slipi flyover in Central Jakarta.

The man's body was first spotted Monday night by a resident who mistook it for a burned out motorcycle.

The police later took the body to Cipto Mangunkusumo Hospital to undergo an autopsy. They also found a black bag at the crime scene.

Tanah Abang Police crime division head Sutrisno said a wound found on the man's head suggested he might have been killed before being set on fire.

"We are still investigating this case and we hope we can (get to the bottom of it) as soon as we have questioned nine witnesses," said Sutrisno, as quoted by tempointeraktif.com. --JP
