Forum: Technology in our classrooms

A- A A+

Do not complicate things. The next move is totally free basic education for all children.

My wife's family still cannot afford basic education for many of their children.

I liked the article. I am a science teacher at a high school in Jakarta. I find it difficult to get proper hands-on tools for teaching science concepts here.

I usually rely on books or draw things on the board. My computer in the classroom is not connected to the internet. I must go to the lab to get a computer with internet access.

Sometimes I feel frustrated by this and many things in my teaching work.

At the same time, I feel it is hard to ask government or the Education Ministry to do something about it.

It is difficult to get their attention. Hopefully your article will open their minds.

Thank you.

Mahfud on Sharia bylaws

It is a waste of energy talking about sharia bylaws. Are we smarter or dumber than our founding forefathers? Up to now we have tended to jeopardize unity in diversity.

We, my family, 100 percent agree with what the Constitutional Court Chief Mahfud M. D. has said about sharia bylaws.

They threaten national integrity.

I think that statement is his personal opinion.

We have to make a deeper study of sharia bylaws. If it is good and acceptable to all, then why not?

Many banks promote the sharia banking system, and it is acceptable to all religions.

Envoy on trial for graft -- Aug. 27, Online

I never see anyone from the immigration office taken to court although this body is riddled with corruption; try getting a passport or visa and see what it will cost you.
