Palyja customers may see disruption

JAKARTA: Water operator PT Pam Lyonnaise Jaya (Palyja) will conduct a pressure drop test Tuesday between 10 a.m and noon, potentially disrupting water service in some areas of West Jakarta, including Grogol and Tomang.

Palyja corporate communications head Meyritha Maryanie suggested residents of West Jakarta fill up water tanks and reserves in anticipation of the possible disruption.

"We apologize to our customers for this inconvenience," she said in a statement, as quoted by kompas.com.

Palyja installed new equipment this past Saturday, from 9 p.m. until 5 a.m. on Sunday, affecting service in Pasar Baru and Mangga Dua Selatan, both in Central Jakarta. -- JP
