Inul to have in vitro fertilization

JAKARTA: There will be no goyang ngebor (gyrating dance) for popular dangdut singer Inul Daratista during this fasting month of Ramadan. Not because it's a holy month, but because she plans to have in vitro fertilization (IVF) treatment.
The dangdut singer, who is known for gyrating her hips at fast speeds while on stage, and her husband Adam Suseno plan to go through the procedure at a hospital in Surabaya, East Java, which is close to their home.
"We plan to have the embryo transferred on Sept. 16," Inul was quoted by detik.com as saying.
Inul, whose real name Ainul Rokhimah, said she would only accept singing invitation during Ramadan if it involved no gyrating.
"Just to give chance for the eggs to be perfectly develop," said the 33-year-old woman, who drew ire as well as sympathy from the public for her trademark gyrating dance.
She said doctor has informed her that at least a week before the end of the fasting month she will find out the result. -- JP
