Indra Salman Lubis, lawyer to leader of the Islam Defender Front (FPI) Rizieq Syihab, decided to resign following the Central Jakarta District Court refusal over his client's release from detention.
Rizieq Syihab, charged with inciting violence during last June's National Monument (Monas) attack, has been detained since June 6.
Indra said that he had fulfilled every requirement needed for Rizieq's release, including Rp 5 billion (US$535,000) in financial guarantee, but the panel of judges still refused his demand.
"It's no use to be part of this trial, which is led by no quality judges," he said, as quoted by Tempointeraktif.com.
Rizieq's trial session on Monday presented two witnesses from the Islam Troop Command (KLI), FPI's proxy. Similar to previous FPI witnesses, the two annulled their testimony to the police, citing intimidation during questioning process. Rizieq also refused the witnesses, saying that he did not have any relation to the two.
Rizieq was charged responsible for FPI's violent ambush on National Alliance for the Freedom of Faith and Religion (AKKBB) activists rallying at Monas on June 1. Some 70 activists were injured during the attacks on the rally. (dre)

Indra Salman Lubis, so you think money speaks louder ?
When in court, have some decent respect for the judge/s. Served you right, the judge can decide and choose what you cannot reason in the first place.
Just you wait, the victims of that violent ambush may proceed to sue Rizieq and Islam Defender Front ! In this case Rp 5 billion (US$535,000) might not be enough - by than FPI got no money to pay for your no quality service.
Indra Salman Lubis, you may take your seat or get out of this court !!!
