JAKARTA: Three men threatened a policewoman with a sharp weapon and took away her cell phone Sunday night in a Metromini minibus traveling between Senen in Central Jakarta and Tanjung Priok in North Jakarta.
The policewoman, Febriyanti, was riding the Metromini on her way home to Kalibaru, North Jakarta, when a man pointed a sharp weapon at her neck and stomach.
The man and his two companions then snatched Febri's cell phone, which was worth about Rp 1 million (US$107), before getting out of the bus.
Senen Police tracked down the perpetrators and arrested them on Monday morning at about 6 a.m.
The head of the crime division, First Insp. Aryono, said the police were still investigating the incident. --JP

It is about time Indonesia impost public-canning for the would be robbers to see. The robbers facial appearance should be published in every newspaper to shame them forever.
This have nothing to do with human rights. This is about the future and the safety record of Indonesia.
Lastly, the penalty for robbing a government servant should be double !!! Think twice before you try to rob somebody. For all I know, robbers can escaped 10 times but once caught, you will lead a miserable life.
