Letter: Discussing blue energy

I had checked out various websites about alternative energy sources earlier, but after reading the letter from Mr. Han Guyer I searched for "sea water" and also "energy devices", and I could not find any reports on people being bumped-off for research into alternative energy sources.

In fact there are plenty of websites offering plans on building various kinds of energy devices, but it seems nobody is interested because the viability of these devices has not been proven.

If seawater can be desalinated why can't seawater be tried out as an alternative source of energy by separating hydrogen and oxygen?

Why would ExxonMobil, Chevron or other global energy companies try to prevent research into energy sources? Why would the CIA, FBI, KGB (or similar) bump off scientists who were trying to save the world with "green" energy?

I came across a Wikipedia website on "Free Energy" which said there were conspiracy theories about vested interests preventing research into alternative energy sources, but there was no proof of any kind. So these conspiracy theories remain conspiracy theories.

Governments the world over are busy trying to develop wind and solar energy and other sources of energy to get away from dependency on oil. Cars with hydrogen as fuel are now available. Rockets and satellites do not use gasoline as fuel. So why anyone would try to suppress the development of alternative energy sources is just beyond me.

I am afraid that Hans Guyer has been carried away with all the conspiracy theories about governments and industry giants with vested interests trying to suppress research into new sources of energy.

Perhaps he could show us the websites about the killings of innocent scientists which made him frustrated and angry so we can judge for ourselves.

As for Blue Energy, the people involved should have conducted sufficient tests first to confirm their theory before seeking the President's audience and support. There are other government agencies whose help and support, at least moral support to begin with, could have been sought so they could check and confirm things were on the right track. But no, they went directly to the President with some half-baked theory.

It is wrong to re-instate them.
