The body of a man who fell into a river Wednesday when his boat collided with another has been found floating in the Barito River in Central Kalimantan, 15 kilometers from the site of the accident.

Local village volunteers reportedly spotted the body of Bandung native Viktor Andrean, 24, on Friday.

The body was found around 2 p.m. that same day, two days after Viktor went missing, said head of the Barito police crime detectives unit Adj. Comr. Hari Brata.

Viktor's family will collect the body and bring it back to Bandung for burial, Hari added.

According to the police commander, on the day of the crash, Viktor and his colleague Linchon H. Simorangkir, along with four porters, were delivering goods on the river using a small boat when they somehow crashed into another vessel heading in their direction.(ast)
