The Foreign Ministry has helped facilitate the return of a migrant worker from conflict-ravaged Iraq, to her hometown in Java, an official said Friday.
Hidayah Sugiono, who arrived in Indonesia on Sept. 6, returned to Brebes in Central Java on Friday after some medical checks, Foreign Ministry spokesperson Teuku Faizasyah said.
Since 2007, the ministry has been working to aid the return up to 10 migrant workers from Iraq, after an escalation of violence in some of its regions.
Indonesia, with the help of international civil rights groups, has seen three of these migrant workers returned thus far. --JP
