National chief police nomination Comr. Gen. Bambang Henadarso will face a fit and proper test by the House of Representatives’ Comission III on legal affairs on Monday morning.

“The commission will focus on the national police inadequate work on security issues. We would also question the candidate’s commitment on eradicating illegal logging,” said Gayus Lumbuun, a member of House Commission III, as quoted by Tempointeraktif.com.

Gayus said Bambang, who is currently the national chief of detectives, would follow the test at the House building starting 09.00 a.m.

He also said that the commission would also ask on the public order official’s position in the police organization.

Earlier this month, President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono nominated Bambang to replace Gen. Sutanto as the new National Police chief, ending months of speculation over who would take over the post. (dre)
