BANTUL, Yogyakarta: Bantul regency administration deployed 16,000 paramedics to stay on duty in the week before and after the end of Ramadan celebrations, to provide ongoing medical care for travelers and local residents. (The Jakarta Post)
<P> Paramedics were placed at a number of Idul Fitri posts that have been established by the local police and transportation agency.

A similar commitment was also been made by Yogyakarta Municipal Health Agency head Choirul Anwar, who said his office would provide 24-hour medical services at three centers and at strategic posts including at railway and bus stations. -- JP
