Green festival in Bogor next month

JAKARTA: The first ever urban festival on environmental issues will be held at the foot of Mt. Salak in Bogor from Oct. 16 through 18. , 

Bumi Bagus Production and Institute for Global Justice will organize the Gunung Salak Festival in the village of Cihideung Udik, Ciampea district. , 

The event will coincide with World Food Day on Oct. 16 and International Day for the Eradication of Poverty on Oct. 17.   |  Sat, 09/27/2008 10:22 AM  |  City

The organizing groups said they hoped to hold the event annually.

The festival would bring together local leading figures, students, environmentalists and government officials. -- JP
