Ambassador sends ship accident victims home from Malaysia

Indonesian Ambassador to Malaysia, Da'i Bachtiar, said that the government would send the victims of ship incident in Selangor, Malaysia back to Indonesia Thursday.
The Transportation Ministry, he said, would send a ship from Tanjung Uban in Riau to pick up 125 victims surviving from the accident, which killed 12 others, on Tuesday. All of them were without proper immigration documents

The passengers were Indonesians leaving Malaysia from Port Klang to Tanjung Balai, Riau for the Idul Fitri holidays. The ship encountered heavy wind and sank. Most of the victims are known coming from Medan, North Sumatera and Aceh. (ast)
