Jakarta Police reported on Friday two alleged murders in Tangerang and South Bekasi after nearby residents found two bodies showing signs of violence.
Police suspect one of the victims was Mulyadi, a resident of Koang Jaya, Karawaci, Tangerang city.
His body was found by Mudjiono, 50, on Jl. Satria, Suka Asih, Tangerang, on Monday at 10 a.m.
The victim, who suffered stab wounds on his stomach and thumbs, was found wearing only one underwear garment and white socks.
About three meters from the body, police found a knife, a bra, and brown socks hung on a tree branch. They also found his wallet containing his motorcycle registration, some name cards and about Rp 1.4 million (US$148.60) in cash.
Tangerang Police took the wallet as evidence and for further investigation. They sent the body to Tangerang general hospital to undergo a postmortem.
Separately, Martini Lutar, 20, found another body in Marga Jaya, South Bekasi, on the same day.
The body of the unidentified man had already deteriorated.
The dead man, clad in blue shorts, was 170 centimeters tall and had a beard and two tattoos: a dragon on his back and a flower spanning his right arm and chest.
His body was brought to Bekasi general hospital for a postmortem.
South Bekasi Police suspect the man was murdered.
