JAKARTA: Police are questioning witnesses in connection with a person who was allegedly in possession of a bag filled with a human body cut up into 13 pieces.
"The bus conductor helped us sketch the carrier of the bags," East Jakarta's Cakung police chief Comr. Yayat Popon Ruhyat was quoted as saying Saturday by Tempointeraktif.com.
The police have taken the names of all witnesses.
Yayat said the police had so far been unable to identify the mutilated body because the head and fingers were missing. The police have put into circulation a photograph of a tattoo of a tiger's head found on the victim's body.
"We haven't found any reliable information on the tattoo."
The bag was found unattended in a Masayari Bhakti public bus on the route from Pulogadung in East Jakarta to Kalideres in West Jakarta on Sept. 29. -- JP
