The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has named former director of finance at state agriculture commodity trader PT Rajawali Nusantara Indonesia as suspect in a corruption case.

According to KPK investigations, the suspect, Ranendra Dangin, misappropriated funds worth a total of Rp 4.5 billion (US$470,000) allocated for the procurement of granular sugar from 2001 until 2004.

"The money was allegedly being used for his own purposes," KPK spokesperson told reporters in Jakarta on Thursday.
