She is the example of a towering Indonesian who cares much about the well-being of the nation and the country. She is more far-sighted than our dim-witted yet holier-than-thou law makers in Senayan.

This bill will surely disintegrate the country. This law will curb the luxury of freedom of expression which we have fought so hard during the 'Reformasi' reformation. This law will homogenize Indonesian culture which is a downright betrayal to our country's very essence, Bhineka Tunggal Ika. This law will transform Indonesia into a crude mimicry of a talibanistic state. This law is a grave mockery to the very essence of civilization, the right to be different and to express that differences.

Fellow Indonesians, please be forewarned, this law in never about morality. It is forever about power. Those sanctimonious nincompoops in Senayan are just too smart to read the religious mood burgeoning among the people since various natural and man-made disasters have befallen Indonesia. By championing this law they are on the quest to secure their seat and garner more votes for their parties from the God-fearing ordinary people.

Who to blame? It is us, the people because we are made stupid by the system. We are stupid to vote for senseless people to lead us and choose sanctimonious morons to represent us.

I pray to God that Indonesia will never see such a chauvinist and sexist bill be enacted.
