The National Police's anti-terror unit arrested an alleged terrorist, identified as Wahyu, in North Jakarta on Tuesday after confiscating explosives, bullets and bomb making tutorials at his rented house.

National Police chief Bambang Hendarso Danuri confirmed the raid but gave no details, citing that the investigation was still in progress.

"Correct, that was my team from North Jakarta," Danuri said as quoted by kompas.com.

In the house, located on Jl. Gading Sengon, Kelapa Gading, North Jakarta, the terror squad found three kilograms of explosives, suspected to be TNT, 21 bullets and two bomb-making tutorials stored in a plastic cabinet in the house's main room.

According to local neighborhood unit head Abdul Wahab Jamaluddin, the terror suspect had been renting the house for a year.

Neighbors said Wahyu was a relatively quiet person, below average height and was known to be working as a plumber. (and)
