The Prince of Wales is scheduled to kick off his 5-day trip in the country today, top British envoy said Friday evening.
According to the British Ambassador to Indonesia, Martin Hatfull, Prince Charles will be visiting a Jambi forest to oversee a British-sponsored project aimed at restoring the forest's ecosystem and saving endangered species on Sunday.
The heir to the English throne is also scheduled to meet current Yogyakarta governor and presidential hopeful Sri Sultan Hamengkubowono X in Central Java on Tuesday,
Kompas.com reported.
Prince Charles, who recently visited Brunei Darussalam and Japan, will not be accompanied by the Duchess of Cornwall on this leg of the Asian trip.
The future head of the British monarchy's last visit to the country was in 1989. (amr)

Nala, Prince of Wales is not a leader but a front man for certain elites. Secondly Indonesian hidden agendas are not in the same league as of western hidden agendas......maybe in another 50 years it could be.

Ha ha ha. All leaders visit have their own "hidden agenda". Of course lahhhh. Indonesia's visit to another country also has "hidden agenda". If not, why do they even bother visiting? That's politic.

They normally come with hidden agendas. Who will he be fronting? BP? Shell?. UK elites (not normal people) control a very large part of mining operations in Africa & Asia through various proxies. Read history...especially Suharto's early activities and who was behind. I hope normal Indonesians see through any ulterior motives behind such visits and deals struck will be fair and equitable and not just one sided by benefiting only the UK elites and Indonesian elites.
