JAKARTA: Indonesian rugby has been promoted to play in the higher a5n Division 3 Championship, the Indonesian Rugby Football Union said Monday.
Indonesia has earned the promotion thanks to its undefeated streak in the Jakarta a5n regional tournament earlier this year, it said in a statement sent to the Jakarta Post.
Indonesia beat Laos 23-11 and Cambodia 55-3 to win the tournament.
In the 2009 season of the a5n division 3 competition, Indonesia will play the Philippines, Kryghistan and Guam. --JP
