A worker at a community health center, Julhanuddin Nawa, 31, was allegedly shot dead on Sunday night by an angered police officer in Serdang Berdagai, North Sumatra.
Witnesses say the victim was shot dead at point blank range by the officer, Brig. Antomi Pasaribu, whose wife was Julhanuddin's co-worker.
North Sumatra police spokesman, Baharudin Djafar, said the officer had surrendered himself.
"We are still investigating the motive. Witnesses said Antomi was angry because his wife was harassed by Julhanuddin, but we can't confirm that," he said, as quoted by Tempointeraktif.com on Monday. (dre)
