In a bid to promote public awareness of legal matters, the Justice and Human Rights Ministry will hold a festival of events targeting a broad spectrum of the community.
The events, which will be held from Nov. 19 until 23, will include film screenings, a photo exhibition, student workshops, public discussions, seminars and a so-called "national-scale" legal debate.
The Indonesian Law Student Association and the National Legal Awareness Board are expected to assist as coordinators and event managers.
The event would also select students to participate in a public education program in rural areas of the archipelago, Board member Kristomo said on Thursday.
"We hope through the festival we can teach the public to avoid anarchism, and to settle matters legally," Kristomo said.
