JAKARTA: Nineteen of the Korean National Taekwondo team's best will demonstrate their skills on Sunday at GOR II Sportclub Pertamina Simpruk on on Jl. Teuku Nyak Arif, South Jakarta.
The event will be held from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. and is free of charge.
"The teams have the greatest technical ability and best skills of any demonstration team in Korea," a spokesman from the Embassy of the Republic of Korea claimed in a statement sent to The Jakarta Post.
The team will demonstrate jump-front kick breaking, continuous turning, vertical four steps breaking, step-on-obstacles breaking, multi direction movements breaking, women's self-defense and Taekwondo aerobics, it added.
"The event is aimed at enhancing the relationship between Indonesia and Korea through sports and hopes to encourage local people to take up Taekwondo," it said.
Korean Ambassador to Indonesia Kim Ho-young and a group of Indonesian government officials and diplomatic corps members are expected to attend the event. --JP
