To those, who still don't get it: A dead Amrozi is perhaps a martyr but a living Amrozi is much more dangerous.
Don't think the years in Indonesian prisons made him "miserable, lonely, and forgotten". He was happy for most of that time because he was the king of any prison outside Bali, much admired by other prisoners and feared by the guards.
Worse, like cases in Europe have proven, prison can be fertile recruiting ground for turning common criminals into fanatics and they would have little trouble organizing their crew on the outside.
Had they received life sentences, who knows if in the future they might have gotten leniency or been pardoned. They might have escaped.
If they were still alive, I wouldn't be surprised if they had gotten out sooner than Schapelle Corby, or had lived longer than the Bali 9. Since they have died, we can be sure they won't get away.
