Thank you for posting this :)
My name is Alfa and I was the one wearing the blue bird costume, to spice up Pesta Blogger 2008 event.
Just to clarify, I was dressing up as Jakarta Twitter User Group mascot, the blue bird drawn on the pan. The bird character doesn't have a name, we simply call it "blue bird with a pan".

My blog is chibialfa.wordpress.com And the guy I 'hit' with the pan is a blogger from Jogjakarta, Thomas Arie (http://orangescale.net)

LOL. Talk about lack of fact checking by a "veteran" newspaper. Alfa is the name of the person inside the costume. That "bird" is the mascot of the Jakarta Twitter User Group, a group of Jakarta-based bloggers who use Twitter for their microblogging platform. Her blog address is http://chibialfa.wordpress.com. The character was developed by several members of the group, not by any one person.
There was no final day of gathering of Indonesian bloggers. Today was the one and only day of Pesta Blogger 2008, it is not a multi-day event.
