Police arrest Bank Century's former director

The National Police Friday have arrested the former director of Bank Century, Hermanus Hasan Muslim.
National Police spokesperson Insp. Gen. Abubakar Nataprawira, said Hermanus had undergone extensive questioning that began on Thursday before the police decided to arrest him.
Abubakar said Hermanus was suspected of forging bank documents in violation of the 1998 banking law.
He added that Hermanus had cooperated with Robert Tantular, the bank's key shareholder arrested Thursday, in misappropriating bank assets.
If proven guilty, Hermanus could face up to 15 years in prison, Abubakar said.
"We are anticipating more suspects in this case," he said. (anb)
