Students mark HIV/AIDS day

Dozens of Surabaya Technology Institute students on campus passed out flyers and leaflets Monday to passing motorists to mark World AIDS day, which falls on Dec. 1.
During today's rally students also erected banners with information on how to recognize HIV/AIDS symptoms, including fever and exhaustion.
The students' coordinator Susanto said that the action aimed at giving a public campaign to raise public awareness on how the HIV/AIDS virus is spread and how to take preventive action to prevent infection.
"One of the ways to prevent infection is by avoiding needle sharing among drug users," he said, as quoted by
