An Indian official says the death toll in last week's Mumbai attacks is expected to stand at 171 and that all bodies have been accounted for.
Maharashtra state government spokesman Bhushan Gagrani said Wednesday the dead include 26 foreign nationals. The death toll was revised down slightly from 172 after authorities realized they had counted a victim twice.
He says the death toll would only increase if any of the 294 wounded succumbed to their injuries.
Gagrani says: "this is the final figure. More bodies being found is ruled out."
The three-day attack was carried out by suspected Muslim militants at 10 sites across Mumbai last week.
