Jakarta Tourism Agency is holding a competition for campus students to create concepts for tourism in the capital.
Agency head Arie Budhiman said the contest was being held to find out how young people see the tourism industry.
"Some of the concepts are good. For example, how to boost shopping activity and night life, or organizing meetings, conventions and tour packages.
"Of course, we can't implement all these ideas, but we're glad to see their enthusiasm," Arie = said.
From some 30 teams that entered the contest jurors have selected six finalists, with the winners to be announced on Dec. 11, he said.
The six finalists are the Ondel-ondel team from Pelita Harapan University, Jakartaholic team from STIKOM LPSR, the Integrity team from the Indonesian Banking School and the Optimist, JOI and ABC teams from the University of Indonesia.
The winning concept would be used to help improve the local tourism industry, Arie said.
