Dewi Dewi aims to look a bit younger

JAKARTA: Knowing that their image is perceived a bit older than their actual ages, duo Dewi Dewi are planning to change their style for their next album.

The group, comprised of Tata and Purie, said they would make some adjustments to their style as they had received input from the public that their image was too old for their actual ages.

"Definitely it will be more fresh than our current style. There's the impression that we are older than we actually are. So for our next album, we will try to look more compatible to our ages," Tata was quoted as saying by Detik.com.

The group, who formed through an audition for a reality TV show, said they had chosen "cute and fresh" as the theme of their new image and they had also picked a designer for their new wardrobe.

The group formed in early 2007 and included Shinta Dewi (Tata), Purie Andriani (Purie) and Carolina Agustine Kamarie (Ina). However, after releasing their first album Recycle in May 2007, Ina choose to quit the group in June.

Tata and Purie said they were more comfortable with the current composition of the group.

"Singing in a group of three is more noisy, more colorful, but with only two people, we are able to communicate better," said Purie. -- JP
