The House of Representatives is set to file for an inquiry demanding the government explain its poor management of haj participants this year.

Abdullah Azwar, a member of House of Commission VIII on religious affairs, on Monday said there were 25 members who wished to question the government as such.

"We demand the government explain the poor management, especially the transportation and accommodation for the 210 pilgrims. The government has failed to provide a smooth haj pilgrimage," Abdullah told tempointeraktif.com.

The members would submit the inquiry letter tomorrow (Tuesday) to the House chairman, and were expecting to receive answers during a plenary meeting on Dec. 19, Abdullah said. (ewd)
