JAKARTA: Unhappy to find a wheel clamp on their car, which was parked illegally at the Soekarno-Hatta airport, two men pulled out a gun, Antara reported on Monday.
The two went to the airport to pick up their mother, a member of the House of Representative with the initials EB, at around 10 p.m. on Sunday.
The men, with the initials BAT and MIR, parked their Toyota Camry in front of the airport's Terminal 1 VIP lobby, ignoring a regulation which prohibits any visitor from parking there, Antara quoted the head of the airport security post Mardiyanto as saying.
The security officers then clamped the wheel. However, the car owners were said to be unhappy with the situation and the sons cursed and pulled a gun on the security officers.
The two were later brought to the airport security post for questioning. BAT, a member of the Brawijaya intelligence unit, was taken to Jatake Military District Command Post in Tangerang for questioning by the internal affairs department. MIR is reported to be a former member of the police force. -JP
