The Indonesian Church Association (PGI) has sent medical aid via the International Red Cross to assist Palestinians in the Gaza Strip, tempointeraktif.com reports.
PGI had decided not to attempt to hand over the medical aid to conflict victims directly, as it had anticipated difficulties entering the conflict zone, Napsun Setiono of PGI said Tuesday.
"The International Red Cross will combine our aid with that from other associations across the world," Napsun said.
PGI had written official letters to both Israel and Palestine as part of its effort to end the conflict, he said.
"We are deeply concerned about the conflict. In any religious teachings, war is forbidden." (ewd)
