KPK in talks with ministers over BLBI case

Several ministers and top officials will meet at the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) today to discuss funds embezzled from the Indonesian Banking Liquidity Assistance (BLBI) scheme during monetary crisis in 1997.
Set to attend the meeting are Bank Indonesia Governor Boediono, State Ministry of State Enterprises secretary Said Didu, Finance Minister Sri Mulyani Indrawati and Financial Institution
Supervisory Agency (Bapepam-LK) chairman Fuad Rahmani,
kompas.com reported Thursday.
During the meeting, the KPK will question the officials over the channeling of more than Rp 400 trillion (US$ 36.3 billion) funds to state-owned banks. (ewd)
